Recycle the Evidence is a contrived view into a recycle bin suggesting a less than perfect lifestyle. I was doodling around looking for something unusual to paint and the idea amused me. The final composition was pulled together from a number or reference photographs. Although nearly everything here was found in my recycling the content was heavily edited for effect. I'm fortunate not to need Nexium, but when gainfully employed I did a lot of work for the marketing departments at Astra, so as well as emphasising the poor diet choices, this is a small nod to that. The painting was accepted for the Oxford Art Society Open Exhibition in 2024.
Oil on cradled board. 300 x 300 mm.
